The Dissending For Sweets side quest in Hogwarts Legacy offers players an engaging journey through the secret passageways hidden within the castle. In this mission given by Garreth Weasley, students are asked to retrieve a special potion ingredient from the cellar of the famous Honeydukes sweet shop in Hogsmeade. Completing this task requires navigating subterranean tunnels, solving minor environmental puzzles, and utilizing essential field spells effectively.
Starting the Quest and Locating Garreth Weasley
To begin the quest, locate Garreth Weasley standing near the Grand Staircase in Hogwarts. He explains his latest potion experiment and asks for your assistance in obtaining Dried Billywig Stings. Agreeing to help him marks the starting point of a hidden adventure beneath the school grounds.
Unlocking the One Eyed Witch Secret Passage
Head toward the Grand Staircase area to find the distinctive One Eyed Witch Statue. Cast the Dissendium spell while interacting with the statue to open the secret entrance behind it. Entering this hidden doorway drops you directly into a subterranean tunnel that leads toward Hogsmeade.
Navigating the Underground Tunnel Puzzles
As you traverse the underground path, you will encounter a series of small obstacles blocking progress. Use Reparo to fix a broken wooden lift platform so you can cross the cavern gap safely. Additionally, cast Incendio or Confringo to clear away dense spider webs blocking the passageway ahead.
Retrieving the Ingredient and Completing the Task
At the end of the cavern path, ride the final wooden lift upward into the basement of Honeydukes. Search the storage area to find the Jar of Dried Billywig Stings sitting on a nearby counter. Once collected, return to Garreth Weasley inside the castle to deliver the item and complete the quest reward.
